Topic: On October 1st, 2003 Alberta Land Titles introduced its new data delivery system SPIN 2, which provides access to a variety of Government of Alberta land related data products including the new Land Titles and Registered Documents search features. The presentation to be given will provide an overview of the SPIN 2 / ALTA 2 re-development initiative to date and SPIN 2 Phase 2 to be implemented this November. Specific subject areas will include; access to volume land titles data, digital documents, new web services features, privacy policy and the registered plan/cadastral base update process.
Presenters: Bill Elliott, Land Titles, Alberta Government Services & Ken Barrie, President, WayTo Integration
Bill Elliott is the Manager of Technical Services and Application Support for Alberta Land Titles. His background includes 24 years in both the private and public sides of urban planning and technical services administration within the Alberta Provincial Government. In addition to his regular role Bill is currently Project Manager for the Land Titles SPIN 2 (Data Delivery) and ALTA 2 (Registration System) re-development initiatives.
Ken Barrie is President of WayTo Integration; a custom development, migration, and conversion practice. Ken earned a degree on Electrical Engineering at the U of C in 1973, and has worked in the IT world since 1974. Prior to the current practice, Ken filled various roles at Intergraph Canada, ranging from Salesman to Director of Marketing.
